Donnie Darko (2001) - The science-fiction thriller of a unhappy teenager who becomes aware of unsettling and strange visions are stimulating and is mind-bending to watch. The direction of Richard movie reviews Kelly is masterful, and the performances from the actors, particularly Jake (blog post) Gyllenhaal, are all fantastic.
